MULTI-SENSORY EDUCATIONAL THEATRE
At M-SET we specialise in providing inclusive education through multi-sensory theatre, arts and media. Our active and explorative approach develops learning skills, encourages enquiry and raises self-esteem.
For over 10 years we have developed long term relationships with a full range of primary and secondary schools and educational units across London. With a focus on integration and raising social and disability awareness, our projects integrate pupils of different ages, backgrounds and abilities from mainstream and SEND schools.
We deliver tailor-made projects using a full range of theatrical resources including lighting, sound, special effects, music and drama to encourage active learning and participation. Our projects range from intensive two week immersive installations at theatres and schools that provide focus on specific learning targets to year-long programs that introduce and develop understanding of social issues that impact students' wellbeing.
We are a multi-disciplinary team of highly experienced specialists with backgrounds in teaching, child development, psychology, theatre and music.
"Whatever communication system a child uses, however a child moves, whatever a child's preferences, each one has a way to access, explore, experience, learn and enjoy the session. Schools halls, corridors, the swimming pool and classrooms are transformed into spaceships, sound studios, buses, playgrounds, castles, beaches, clay empires, solar systems and sensory havens of textures, lights, sounds, colours and smells."
